My vision is a public health system that invests boldly in prevention programs with demonstrated upstream benefits.
Three words to describe me:
compassionate, strategic, efficient
The best part of my job:
Working with dedicated, compassionate colleagues and community members to create lasting positive change
Something that would surprise others about me:
I sing soprano in a community choir, I love to snowboard, and I've lived in England, Chile, and three U.S. states.
Brittany Lobo began her public health journey as an intern in a clinic in urban Santiago, Chile, where she shadowed midwives as they provided home visits and routine prenatal care to some of the city’s poorest residents. This experience inspired her to learn more about the social determinants of health and sparked a lifelong commitment to health equity. As Community and Family Health Section Manager in Sonoma County, Brittany oversees a wide variety of programs focused on creating sustainable change through evidence-based interventions, and advocates for health equity. She is committed to promoting a trauma-informed culture of care within the organization.
Brittany serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern California Center for Well-Being, a non-profit focused on improving health through upstream prevention. She received an MPH in Community Health Sciences and an MA in Latin American Studies from UCLA and a BA in Hispanic Studies from the University of Pennsylvania.
