I am confident that I am just getting started in making a lasting impact on the health outcomes of sickle cell disease.
Three words to describe me:
determined, inquisitive, attentive
The best part of my job:
continuing to bring awareness about sickle cell disease and seeing initiatives established to improve the quality of life for those individuals
Something that would surprise others about me:
I love going to the beach, but I'm afraid to get in the water.
With 15 years of public health experience, Shamaree Cromartie Jones started her public health career as a CDC Public Health Associate at a local health department, gaining hands-on experience working in various clinics and with a community health coalition.
