I believe in a “Health in All Policies” approach with specific work in environmental health. This includes embedding environmental health in decisionmaking at all levels.
Three words to describe me:
organized, dynamic, determined
The best part of my job:
convening people to find innovative solutions that drive climate action
Something that would surprise others about me:
As a high school senior, I won a gold medal in badminton as the #1 singles player in Baltimore City.
Rebecca Rehr joined the Maryland League of Conservation Voters in 2022 to shape the organization’s climate policy efforts with a focus on communities that are overburdened by a history of environmental injustice. Rebecca was previously the Director of ecoAmerica’s Climate for Health program, where she worked to build the health voice on climate action. She is driven to do this work because health equity is the foundation of strong and just climate solutions.
Rebecca earned a BA in environmental studies and public policy from Franklin & Marshall College and an MPH from the University of Maryland School of Public Health (UMD SPH). In 2021, she received the UMD SPH Alumni Network’s Public Health Engaging and Emerging Leaders award.
