I'm a highpointer (I aim to hike to the highest point of each of the 50 states) and competitive dahlia flower grower.
Katarina Grande is a governmental public health practitioner currently leading the Epidemiology & Data Science team at the local health department in Madison, Wisconsin. Seeking to drive data to action, her focus on applied public health combines the power of data analysis with data communication to impact decisionmaking. Her 15-year public health career focuses have included HIV epidemiology, community health, maternal & child health, COVID, communicable disease, and program management—all with a health equity and data justice lens. Globally, Katarina has worked with CDC, PEPFAR, and USAID; locally, she has worked for city, county, and state governmental public health departments.
She holds a BS in journalism and integrative biology (zoology) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MPH from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities.
