As a proud granddaughter of migrant farm workers, I've always had a heart for serving the underserved.
Three words to describe me:
thoughtful, positive, determined
The best part of my job:
The impact that my programs and graduates have on rural communities all across the country. The primary focus of my work is communities that are often overlooked by policy and other programs, so it feels great to know that everyday I am making a difference for people.
Something that would surprise others about me:
I had not really had the opportunity to travel much when I was younger, and I hadn't been out of the country until I turned 23, but I had worked in global health for a couple years before I had even left the U.S., just remotely - and now part of my job is to direct a collaborating center with WHO/PAHO. I haven't stopped traveling since I got my passport!
