Building Expertise in Administration and Management (BEAM)

More than half of state and local governmental public health professionals say they need training in budget and financial management, according to the Public Health Workforce Interests and Needs Survey (PH WINS). Building Expertise in Administration and Management (BEAM) is the first business course designed by public health professionals for public health professionals to help fill these gaps.

Developed by the University of Miami’s public health and business programs, de Beaumont, and other leading organizations, the 20-hour, asynchronous BEAM online certificate program uses a real-world curriculum based on real-world public health scenarios.
