Myani Guetta-Gilbert, MSW, is a program officer at The BUILD Health Challenge® (BUILD), a national initiative that is creating sustainable health improvements and advancing health equity by supporting community-centered, multi-sector partnerships across the U.S. In this role, Myani works with BUILD partners to ensure that they have the resources they need to thrive, leveraging innovative grantmaking, technical assistance, and network-building practices.
Before joining the de Beaumont Foundation, Myani was the Senior Program Manager at HealthierHere, King County’s Accountable Community of Health (ACH) under Washington State’s 1115 Medicaid Waiver. In this role, Myani managed a portfolio of multi-million-dollar investments in local community-based organizations including partnerships with the county’s public health agency, clinical organizations, and tribal health organizations to improve access to Social Determinants of Health across the region. Myani played an integral role in leading equity and community engagement efforts to ensure that communities impacted by health disparities were centered in decision-making about investments and system change strategy. Prior to this role at HealthierHere, Myani worked on Seattle-based policy advocacy and coalition building around equitable development and led a BIPOC political leadership development program with a focus on bringing racial equity perspectives onto municipal boards and commissions. She also has experience working directly within behavioral health systems, domestic violence services, and public education.
Myani holds a Master of Social Work with a focus on community development and policy from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of Vermont.
