McKenzie Liegel

Senior Program Associate, New to Public Health

McKenzie Liegel, MPH, CHES, is a Senior Program Associate with the New to Public Health Residency Program.

McKenzie came to de Beaumont by way of the New to Public Health Residency Program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she worked to build the confidence and competence of the public health workforce. Prior to that, McKenzie was with the UW Population Health Institute, where she coached communities across Wisconsin to help them implement policy, systems, and environmental changes as well as improve health equity. Additionally, McKenzie has previous experience in government public health, working at two local health departments in rural Wisconsin during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. She has held varying other roles in the field, ranging from opioid prevention to communications.

McKenzie received her Masterโ€™s in Public Health with a focus in Community Health from East Tennessee State University
