The de Beaumont Foundation has partnered with the American Public Health Association, the George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health, and the GWU School of Media and Public Affairs for the “Healthy You: Surviving a Pandemic” podcast. New episodes will be released every Wednesday at 10:00am ET.
“The public health community needs to do a better job telling its stories,” said Brian C. Castrucci, DrPH, president and CEO of the de Beaumont Foundation. “We are proud to join George Washington University and APHA to make the important work of public health professionals relevant and interesting for a much wider audience.”
The “Healthy You: Surviving a Pandemic” podcast features prominent public health experts, medical professionals, health policy experts, and journalists who discuss their work and experiences on a broad range of topics related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Moderated by Emmy Award-winning journalist Frank Sesno, the podcast features prominent guests who reveal an inside perspective on the pandemic and how it has changed life and work as we know it. Guests have included NIAID director Dr. Anthony Fauci, CNN journalist Maggie Fox, medical analyst Dr. Leana Wen, Dr. Castrucci, and many other leaders in health and medicine.
The premiere podcast, released March 31, features Dr. Georges Benjamin, executive director of the American Public Health Association.
