Healing through Policy is committed to supporting communities in addressing racism as a public health crisis through policy and practice change. In 2023, communities will have the opportunity to engage with Healing through Policy by applying to participate in a Community of Practice and/or a Solutions Sprint. More information about each opportunity is available on the FAQ page.
Community of Practice
Teams applying for the Community of Practice must represent communities that have declared racism a public health crisis and have identified a policy or practice goal to advance over six to 12 months. Teams must also have letters of support from local leadership.
Applications were due February 15, 2023. The Community of Practice will begin in April 2023 and go through April 2024.
Solutions Sprint
Teams may also apply to the Solutions Sprint. Over six to 12 weeks, Results for America and its partners will offer workshops that will allow jurisdictions to learn from subject matter experts and peers to accelerate the implementation of Advancing Racial and Health Justice through Right to Counsel for Tenants Facing Eviction, a policy solution aligned with the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformationâ„¢ framework. This learning opportunity offers a space for place-based teams to explore how a right to counsel for tenants promotes housing stability and health and racial justice; and how cities, counties, and states can advance and implement such programs and policies.
Applications were due March 1, 2023. The Solutions Sprint will begin in March 2023 and last for six to 12 weeks.
