Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of government and health to redefine the unacceptable. I am motivated by the belief that one’s destiny should not be dictated by their zip code.
Three words to describe me:
curious, problem solver
The best part of my job:
convening smart people to solve tough problems
Something that would surprise others about me:
I play the drums, and I'm a proud member of the drumline for St. Louis City SC, the soccer team in St. Louis!
Nebu believes that a local public health department is the truest expression of representative democracy. He builds highly effective teams that bring a digital and community-centric approach to public health. As the Director of Communicable Disease Response for the Saint Louis County Department of Public Health, he sets the strategy and oversees operations to mitigate the spread of infectious diseases in St. Louis County. The division includes the largest sexual health clinic in the region, a tuberculosis clinic, and a team that investigates novel disease threats.
Prior to joining DPH, he worked in consulting for Deloitte’s federal government practice, where he supported clients at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Defense Health Agency, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Nebu graduated from Saint Louis University and the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs.
