Katie O’Neill (she/her)
40 Under 40 Class of 2025
Cotuit, MassachusettsPublic Health Shared Services Program Manager
Barnstable County
My ambition is simple: to leave systems better than I found them. Public health is always evolving, and I want to keep building programs, partnerships, and people that are ready for what comes next.
Three words to describe me:
Innovative, Dedicated, Collaborative
The best part of my job:
The most rewarding aspect of my role as Public Health Shared Services Program Manager at Barnstable County is leading collaborative initiatives that enhance regional health capacity. By coordinating efforts across municipalities, we streamline services such as mobile food inspections and health screenings, ensuring equitable access to care. Our work also supports connecting residents to critical healthcare resources and addressing gaps in access for vulnerable populations.
Something that would surprise others about me:
When I’m not in the public health trenches, I’m busy being a wife and mom to two amazing kids, and wrangling our dog, cat, and horse. I love spending sunny days out on our boat as a family around our home on beautiful Cape Cod—turning daily chaos into family fun with a little laughter and a lot of coffee!
