Beatriz Guerrero Auna (she/her)
40 Under 40 Class of 2025
Berkeley, CaliforniaTransformative Climate Communities Coordinator
City of Richmond
My vision is to help create places that not only support physical health, but also social connection, safety, dignity, and belonging.
Three words to describe me:
Equity-driven, Collaborative, Visionary
The best part of my job:
Seeing the tangible impact of collaborative work with residents, local organizations, and stakeholders in the community. It’s incredibly rewarding to bring different perspectives together to create solutions that improve people’s lives, empower communities, and promote health equity and sustainability.
Something that would surprise others about me:
People are often surprised to learn I learned to drive at 35, having always been a pedestrian, cyclist, and transit user. As an urban planner focused in health equity, it has given me a unique perspective on how people experience cities and how active transportation can improve our health.
