It's very clear and intuitive for me to think about preventative methods that could improve population health.
Three words to describe me:
creative, results-oriented, curious
The best part of my job:
The unique opportunity to serve at the intersection of food, policy, and technology, and the fact that I was reconnecting with my public health roots and reexamining the social and structural determinants of health
Something that would surprise others about me:
I am from Nakuru, Kenya – a town famous for its views of flamingos along Lake Nakuru. My journey from Kenya to the United States led me to become a demographer and public health specialist.
